This qualitative study was conducted using a meta-synthesis method and a systematic review of Iranian scientific databases, and sought to answer the important question: What is the most important criteria of innovation and commercialization assessment at the national level in Iran? To answer this question, by searching reliable Iranian databases such as Scientific Information Database (SID), Magiran, Civilica, Irandoc, Noor Mags and reviewing numerous internal sources, a collection of 420 scientific articles was obtained. The identified articles were evaluated in several stages, and by eliminating a number of them that did not exactly match the topic, 34 articles were finally selected for an in-depth and systematic review. Based on the research results, the most important criteria for evaluating commercialization and innovation in national-level studies were classified into 6 themes: "Economics", "Network Communications","Market and Competitiveness", "Intellectual Property and Commercialization", "Human Resources" and "Educational". Among them, the theme "Intellectual Property and Commercialization" had the highest number of criteria and the theme "Educational" had the lowest number of criteria. According to the research results, the themes of "market and competitiveness", "human resources", and "educational", despite their great importance, have received less attention in the assessment of innovation and commercialization processes at the national level.
