Abstract

Todays, developing of information and communication infrastructures has led the outbound capability usage as one of the strengths of companies in the competitive market. The use of outbound capabilities raises problems in transparency of intellectual property of thepresented ideas. At this paer we aimed to develop a model for the intellectual property of ideas with respect to the features of the innovation process. The main purpose of this model is to provide a suitable decision-making platform for determining the type of organization’s productivity and outbound individuals from the results of the open innovation process. By the aid of this model, the most appropriate type of intellectual property model is proposed to organizations. By using experts’ interview and benefiting the theme analysis process, 6 types of spiritual property models were extracted along with 11 features of the open innovation process. The results show that the brand of the organization, the closure of the innovation space, the high level of participation of the participants and the low level of maturity of the received knowledge are among the factors that enable the organization to take intellectual property of the received knowledge. A significant reduction in organizational costs, short product life cycle, and low degree of complexity in implementing the idea reduce the organization's ability to take intellectual ownership of the received knowledge.
