A robust model for the business of mobile operators in the transition to mobile broadband: The Hamrahe Avval case study

Abstract

The dominance of mobile operators in the value chain is at stake, and most mobile operators have not yet found an innovative way to respond to this challenge., the purpose of this study is to identify the steps of the robust business model of Iranian mobile phone companies in the face of broadband mobile technology. The present study is a qualitative-quantitative applied study that has used the futures research approach. In this study, 2 questionnaires were used. According to the research conducted in the field of important and effective trends in the mobile operator industry and the studies and experiences of the researcher, the most important trends were evaluated according to the two indicators of future uncertainty and impact and all the high-impact trends that were in the high probability matrix section are important for deciding the right business model. Based on the analysis of extracted business models suitable for mobile operators, 4 layers of activity areas (connection, content, context and trade) were identified and also from the combination of these four layers, 15 business models were created. MATLAB program was selected as the most consistent business model based on the criteria of total desirability, maximum optimal desirability, maximum minimum desirability, etc., No. 9 business model Was selected as the most robust model.
